Tom has photographed everyone from Mick Jagger, The Smiths, The Charlatans, Tom Waits, David Byrne to name just a few! We lent him a Petzval lens and asked him to test it on a shoot, and he granted us an exclusive interview.

Christmas in the Malls
shared by stitch on 2011-11-28Took time off to shoot some Christmas decorations in 3 malls around my hood. Shots came out dark since I used expired rolls. I could have shot at longer exposures but I didn't want to call attention.

Fuji Superia 1600: Always and Forever!
written by sidsel on 2011-12-03 #gearNight shots, low light, dark interiors, fast action: all things I've come to fear since I got back to analogue photography, also because I'm definitely not a flash-person and I'm not into long exposures. If you're any like me, fear no more: Fuji Superia 1600 is the way!

Sprocket Hole Scanning with EPSON Scanners
written by veato on 2011-08-22 #gear #tutorialsIf you have a scanner with a backlight then you should be able to use the DigitaLiza scanning mask to scan sprockets - examples are the V330 and V500 models. To get a correct exposure though you'll need to tweak the EPSON Scan software. Read on to find out how.

AgfaPhoto APX 400 35mm
written by russheath on 2011-08-11 #gearAgfa APX 400 is a punchy fast monochrome that gives photos a crisp style perfectly suited to Lomography. Shoot it in bright or overcast light, in your LC-A+ or 360 Spinner -- this contrasty friend doesn't disappoint. This is classic black and white at its best!

Yashica Mat-124G
written by nation_of_pomation on 2011-08-06 #gearWhile visiting friends of my father, I stumbled upon a camera I had been looking for everywhere: the Yashica Mat 124G. Its previous owner sold it to me in near-mint condition for extremely cheap, and I already love it. Here are my first impressions.

EIR Test Roll #2
shared by kdstevens on 2011-07-18My second roll of Kodak EIR, exposed at 400 ISO using a yellow filter. I processed this roll myself using C-41 chemistry with better results than my previous roll. This film is cut slightly narrower regular 120 film and I couldn't get it to load on my plastic reels, so the first roll took forever to load and the film got fogged and damaged. This time I discovered the you can load Jobo plastic reels the same way you load stainless steel reels and it worked fine.

shared by clickiemcpete on 2011-07-16Shot most of this roll with the 1935 Hektor 28/6.3 metered for 25 ISO and also a few shots with the Skink Pinhole. Lots of nice fall off with that Hektor 28mm, one of the early wide angle lenses.

Olympus XA2 - The Grab and Go Camera!
written by sf20423303 on 2011-07-09 #gearA powerful yet pocketable film camera for everyday use often compared to an LC-A. This camera is so small and convenient that you can carry it around almost anywhere yet produces fantastic results.
